Every Great Project Starts with Strong Foundations

When people think about projects like Sunny Hill, it’s easy to imagine the finished vision.

But before any major project can become reality, the foundations have to be built.

Over the past few weeks, thanks to the support of our community, that’s exactly what we’ve been doing.

We’ve now:

✅ Appointed specialist charity solicitors to establish Sunny Hill Trust, the independent charity that will lead the community acquisition proposal.

✅ Engaged professional accountants to help create a strong financial and governance framework.

✅ Launched our website, providing a professional home for the project and a place where people can follow our progress.

✅ Established a registered business address and the organisational structure needed to work with future partners and funders.

None of these things make dramatic headlines.

But every one of them is an essential step towards creating a credible proposal for the future of the former Bruton School for Girls site.

The next major milestone will be commissioning a professional feasibility study—the work that will help demonstrate how the vision can be delivered in practice.

Everything we’ve achieved so far has been made possible by volunteers giving their time, experience and commitment because they believe this remarkable site still has an important future serving education and the wider community.

This isn’t about moving quickly.

It’s about building something that has the strongest possible foundations.
